Upon his release, his dreams of a crime-free future begin to disintegrate when he is forced to assume his best friend’s outrageous debt to a local mobster. Despite being thrust back into a world of organized fighting, drug dealing and ties to corrupt police agents, Chance falls in love with Pearl and the prospect of living a normal life seems almost within reach. But will he be able to escape the crimes of his father and his past?

Short storyline
Chance returns home from a half decade in jail determined to change his life. He tries to make peace with his father (Harris), the head of an Aryan Brotherhood at a prison where he is serving a life sentence for murder. Chance's release is quickly marred when he has to help his best friend with a debt to a local mobster. When Chance gets home to his ex-girlfriend house, he finds out that he has a son named August. then he meets Pearl a friend of his ex-girlfriend. Chance and Pearl fall in love.
